fake-hwclock software package provides Save/restore system clock on machines without working RTC hardware, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fake-hwclock
fake-hwclock is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fake-hwclock package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fake-hwclock *
You will get with fake-hwclock package name, version, architecture and description in a table
